I am not sure why this place got bad reviews. We came in here because I needed a pit stop from our 7 hour drive. The entire place was clean from the restroom to the outside of the coffee shop. In addition, the staff was very friendly and got our drinks taken care of without any issues.

This is the slowest drive thru ever. I used to be nearly a daily customer at this Starbucks location, but the staff turned over, and the new folks are slow - and prone to mistakes without apologies. At one point it was clear that they realized they had problems, because I was given several drinks for free due to a long drive thru wait (over 10m). That accountability is now gone, but the waits are still rolling along. Word is that a Dunkin Donuts is moving in next door. Hopefully some competition will force this place to improve. I'll be happy to have another coffee option, that's for sure.

This Starbucks had the most disgusting restrooms of any Starbucks I have ever been to anywhere in the country!!! Pulled off I-10 heading west, a busy location, maybe too busy to clean the restrooms? I visited the men's room first while my wife & daughter placed an order. A strong smell of urine greeted me, liquid all over the room, just plain dirty, and no hand towels, only a blow dryer. I got outta there as fast as I could. I asked for the manager, who was unavailable while meeting with a new hire. The counter person I spoke with seemed concerned about the restroom, but apparently the staff of 5 was overwhelmed. I warned my wife about the condition of men's room, but she elected to wait to use the ladies room anyway. Meanwhile, I picked up her drink, caramel macchiato, in which the barista apparently forgot the coffee!!! As my wife made the SHORT walk to the ladies room, a woman rushed past her and entered the restroom before her, hence the LONG wait. Apparently, the woman made "full use" of the bathroom, including apparently peeing on the seat (how does that happen in a ladies room?), and totally stunk up the joint. My wife reported no soap in the ladies room, so we wondered how "Poopie Paws," (our new name for the woman who rushed ahead to the restroom) had cleaned her hands. The condition of the ladies room was also reported. When my wife returned from visiting the rest room, she had her drink remade. When the barista set out the drink, old Poopie Paws reached for it!!! Ew, dirty hands on the drink. Then Poopie Paws did the same thing when my daughter's drink was set out. We all got the heck out of that place!

This place is not pet friendly. We were asked to leave. Not cool at all. We were just ordering to go too, they looked at us and said they would not allow us to stay here...I think they are racist against Asians as well.

Good spot to stop off i10 for a break. I don't get the low ratings. Maybe people expect to much from Starbucks. My service is always fine. If you're heading west, and i10 is slow moving like after any holiday, shoot north just s bit more and catch 31 west through the Bankhead tunnel and jump back on 10 from dauphin island parkway.

Disappointed is all I can say. Ordered a chai tea latte with no water, it tasted like it was half water. I usually suck it up and drink it even when it's not like I want it because I hate waste, but this was so bad we asked them to remake it. Had to pull around (we had gone throguh the drive-thru) and go inside to do so. The second one was only slightly better than the first- so disappointing! After two tries we gave up and kept our bad drink. :-(

Great coffee! SUPER busy.. Could not find a parking space, still got what we wanted and the coffee was hot, cookies were soft and large chunks of chocolate. Everybody was happy. Not your homey coffee house, but fast and friendly. Will do it again when needing a pick me up.

Would not recommend this location. The people just don't seem very friendly or willing to accommodate. There is another Starbucks amount a mile heading east. Might be worthwhile to try that location.

My husband and I stopped in here one Saturday for an afternoon pick-me-up while out shopping. The location is in front of the Spanish Fort outlet mall, facing the highway. Hard to miss. The employees were nice enough. Can't comment too much on the coffee, as we both just got iced coffees, and it's kind of hard to mess those up. They were as expected. There weren't a whole lot of lounging areas, just a few round hard tables and a long booth against the wall, where the laptop folks were camping out. The reason I am even bothering to review this place- is the ambiance. This is not a relaxing starbucks. First, there is something about the door to the outside that makes it slam whenever anyone goes in or out. Surely this could be an easy fix? Also, we were there maybe 45 minutes, and there was an incessant loud beeping coming from behind the counter that WOULD NOT STOP. It was about to drive me batty. Therefore, I'm sure this place would be fine to suit your coffee needs if you utilize the drive-through or get it to go inside. Otherwise, this is not a place to relax and enjoy your coffee and paper.
